Also available in Kahala is Goma Tei Ramen Kahala, a ramen restaurant serving house-made noodles made from ingredients imported from Japan. For artisan baked goods, try stopping by Brug Bakery. If you’re looking for a place to shop ‘til you drop, try going out to Kahala Mall, which is home to several large brands such as Apple and Macy’s, as well as smaller boutiques, eateries, salons, and much more. Kahala also has a Ross for clothing and accessories, plus a Times Supermarket. For home goods, stop by The Refinery, which sells products such as stationery, barware, gift items, and home accessories.

Kahala is also home to several fun activities for the whole family. Whether you want to spend time out at a local park or exploring an event, Kahala offers something fun for you to do. One of the most famous events in the area is the Honolulu Marathon. As the world’s fourth-largest marathon, the Honolulu Marathon is an annual event held on the second Sunday of December and includes a 26.2-mile marathon and a 10K run. A popular event for golfers and golf enthusiasts is The Sony Open, a PGA tournament played at the Waialae Country Club every January. The Kahala Hotel is also a top spot to find activities such as fitness classes. Kahala also has many beautiful beaches and parks to visit. The beachfront Waialae Beach Park is perfect for picnicking and water activities such as surfing and swimming. Hunakai Park has ample green space as well as a sand volleyball pit. The Kahala Community Park is home to several sports complexes and open areas. Kahala also has access to Diamond Head’s trails and the Kahala Lookout observation deck.


Kahala is served by the Hawaii Department of Education, and residents have access to several
excellent schools, including the public Kahala Elementary School and Star of the Sea, a private
K-8 school.
